Guest guest
In Pasadena, Calif., Jules Dervaes and his family have already begun living the change that many suggest is needed to combat global warming. They use appliances powered by hand-cranks, and the lawn is trimmed by goats. They utilize solar power, recycle their water, and grow food on their land. There is an NPR interview of 4-1/2 minutes at this link: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=7128926 I heard of this family on CNN's show called Open House. Also, on a personal note, I have bought a bicycle and will use it at least a couple of days a week to get to work. It is liberating to know I'm not using any gas when I bicycle.
