Hi all,

 

Speaking of edible forest gardening -- I'm teaching a hands-on one day

introduction to permaculture at the farm where I live in Bellingham

10 AM - 11:30 AM: Permaculture Principles, Ethics, Concepts:

Elements, Functions, Sectors, Zones, Integrated Systems

11:30 AM - Noon: Site Tour

Noon - 1 PM: Plant Guilds: Fruit Tree Planting

1 PM - 1:30 PM: Potluck Lunch with Farm Fresh Salad provided

1:30 PM - 2 PM: Compost Science

2: 00 PM - 3 PM Sheet Mulching / Keyhole Bed Construction

4 PM - 5 PM: Herb Spiral Construction

5 PM Wrap-Up

 

Class will be held at Inspiration Farm, A 15+ year old organic

homestead farm integrating creative lifestyles, animal husbandry,

perennial food systems and land/water management.
