Fw: Moving back to Seattle?

Hey everyone,

I am sending out a blanket letter to friends and loved ones because I am in need

of help. As some of you may remember I set out to fulfill a dream by moving to

California back in September of ’05. Well, things haven’t worked out as planned

and it’s been a struggle – to put it mildly. I have lived in two of the most

beautiful places in the US in the last two and a half years with many wonderful

people. But, boy, has it been expensive!

Without going into all the drama, I have found myself in a position where I need

to move back to a familiar community, to Seattle. Since December, when the

company I was working for closed its doors, I have only been able to find a part

time job down here (LA area). But it’s been three-and-a-half months and no full

time work. I am behind on everything.

Lachlan and I (my 13 year old son) need to have the opportunity to get back on

our feet. It could take about 6 months, or more. I can easily get a job at a

temp agency and wow the company I am placed with. They’ll want to hire me full

time, but I can’t live off of the starting pay offered by the temp agencies for

6 months on my own – and I don’t know anyone down here that can help us. Maybe

YOU or someone you know has some extra space (perhaps even ‘empty nest

syndrome’)? I am looking to move back in the next two weeks as Spring Break

starts this Monday.

Here is the situation I am looking for:

A bedroom (or studio even) for Lachlan and I to share (perhaps furnished).

A place where rent is not a big deal, because I might not be able to pay it for

the first two months (I might be able to help a little with utilities after the

first month).

Then minimal rent so that I can get caught up on my car, etc., and be able to

save for first/last/deposit on our own place ASAP.

Somewhere that is near plenty of professional type jobs (not in the boonies or

islands).

What I can offer:

I can teach you anything and everything you want to know about being healthy!

I can show you how to have fun eating more fruits and vegetables, or even being

100% raw (I am a Raw Food Chef !).

I can guide you safely through detoxifying cleanses while I am there (I’m a

Health Coach).

I can help organize almost anything!!!!

Additionally, if anyone has an ‘in’ for me to get a respectable position (at

least $45k / year to start) - that would be great too! My background is Project

Management / Administration / Personal Assistant. But, really, I can do almost

anything up through management level. I can send a resume upon request.

You may be wondering why I don’t move in with my parents … well, they retired

and moved to a very rural area in Montana where there is no work. As much as

I'd hate it, there is a possibility that if I can’t find anything for both

Lachlan and I, he can finish out the school year with my parents in Montana and

I can get him back towards the end of summer when I’m back on my feet. My first

choice is have my son with me.

Your help and consideration is so very much appreciated.

Namaste,

Paula
