Guest guest
I got my new juicer and have gone to raw vegan. I am so happy today. I did carrots, dakan radish, (greens and all) celery, and an apple. Had some ground soaked pumpkin seeds and 1/4 a mango to nibble today too. I find that as I start this, my diabetes strongly reacts to tropical fruits. So easy does it, eat/drink slowly, and stop when I get the least bit full or that horrible sugr rush. I would love any favorite recipes you want to share. Laura Louise
Guest guest
Hi Laura, I know a 19-year-old guy who got type I diabetes at age 13. He has been on a low fat raw vegan diet for a couple of years now and eats a LOT of fruit. He is only taking something like 1/25th the insulin that he was taking before and says he is determined to get off it completely. He finds that the key is minimizing the fat in his diet, not the fruit. He has a blog and I’ll find that link if you’re interested. Guest guest
Hi Laura, I just read Dr. Cousin's new book, There Is A Cure For Diabetes. I highly recommend it! It is very informative and provides a protocol to follow that is raw vegan. Even if you choose not to follow the protocol, the information in the book is powerful and enlightening. A great juice first thing in the morning is simply cucumber and celery! Good luck. Peace on earth. Cheryl
