SAFETY FIRST: Overextending ourselves, in spite of our good intentions (WAS: Thyroid cancer)

Hi Erinn, Garry, everyone,

I have a long post in the works in response to your (Erinn) original

request. I'd like to observe that we have virtually zero information about

the man with the diagnosis. We can reasonably surmise that, if he has

lymphatic cancer, then he has a thousand other breakdowns throughout his

body, as well. Beyond this arm-waving generalization, we really don't know

what to suggest beyond the generic: rest and the like. Even the food

suggestions, although well-intended, may be far from the mark. And any

suggestion about fasting may be equally so. We simply need much, much more

information before we can intelligently ... and safely ... advise.

My upcoming post will be more about the subject matter than about offering

advice, though I will suggest some things NOT to do. Those suggestions are

much safer!

Best to all,

Elchanan

These are great suggestions, thanks! Someone (on a SAD diet) recently

asked me about fasting but wasn't sure how to approach it. I fast

regularly, but I wasn't sure about someone on a SAD diet.

I hope you don't mind, but I've copied it to a few other raw food

forums ( and Facebook) and referenced you and your website also.

cheers

Garry
