Guest guest
Hi Melissa, There aren't very many licensed nutritionists who are knowledgeable enough about health to advocate a raw vegan diet. If you require certification you'll likely get someone who is professional and well trained, but will recommend conventional dietary practices, like the eating of meat or meat 'alternatives', grains, dairy, cooked foods, etc. Schools don't teach the truth, unfortunately. Raw food coaches typically lack certification or formal training but many have the knowledge to offer valuable guidance in your quest for optimal health. There's not much difference between what a nutritionist and a raw food coach does. They both look at what you're eating, make recommendations and help you strategize about how to deal with your particular challenges. I've been coaching transitioning raw fooders (including a few fitness professionals) for 4 years. Feel free to write to me privately if you'd like more info. Guest guest
Hi Melissa, I do consulting. I am obtaining my Masters in Holistic Nutrition from Clayton College of Natural Health and graduated from the Body Mind Academy in Fitness and Nutrition where we were trained in personal training, Nutrition, ND, and physical therapy. Also have certifications in Fitness from ACE and FIT Institutes. I myself am a vegan and about 80 percent raw foodist. I host potlucks in my house that are raw food oriented. The first session is an hour and a half and then do hour sessions after that. The first session is $55.00 and the hour sessions after that is $45.00. My rates are reasonable I feel and I do the sessions out of my home in Greenwood. If you are intererested in fitness testing I can do that as well. If you are interested please email me as my phone died and will not be back up and working for a few days. I should have a phone again on Thursday but until then please email me. Thanks!
