A Bit of Realism About Ron Paul (WAS: Presidential Candidate supports Health Freedom)

Hi Nora and everyone,

 

What I write here may not go down particularly well with some people. Nora,

this post is not really in response to what you've written, other than that

I feel moved to respond in the conversation. Just FYI ....

 

Ron Paul cannot do at all much of what he promises. Most of his promises lie

outside the reach of presidential power by itself, and he has no one in

Congress who will work with him. So while I do SO deeply appreciate his

intentions, his genuine patriotism, his personal courage, and much, much

more, I am also willing to step back the see what is really before us all.

 

Wisdom teaches us to fix what can be fixed AND is worth fixing and to

replace what does not meet BOTH of these criteria. What we have today, in

my view, cannot be fixed, there is no remediation for our broken system, our

broken way of life. There is only decline or replacement. Decline is what we

already have. Replacement is not on Ron Paul's agenda.

 

So by all means, vote for Ron Paul if you feel so moved. The only wasted

vote is one not cast.

As an obstetrician, Dr. Paul has delivered 4,000 babies. It's easy to

understand how someone with his experience might not like abortion. Even so,

it cannot be said that Dr. Paul " opposes a woman's freedom of choice " . There

is NO candidate that is more supportive of personal liberty than Dr. Paul.

If anything, he would give the decision of legalized abortion back to the

states, where it belongs.

 

Ron Paul is the only presidential candidate who will end the war, stop

runaway government spending, end the war on drugs, reinstate the bill of

rights, get rid of the IRS and the fraudulent " Federal " Reserve, and

generally restore sanity. I urge everyone to learn about Ron Paul and

support his campaign.

 

On a related note, I am recruiting other freedom-loving raw fooders to

produce a video that will be used to advance the campaign of Ron Paul and

the cause of raw foodism at the same time. Please contact me off list if

you're interested.
