Raw Thanksgiving orders

Hey all,

I just talked to Chef Adam @ Nature's Pantry in Bellevue, and I am

the

first one to sign-up for their to-go Thanksgiving orders. It is my

first hoilday season Raw and wouldn't have a problem if I didn't have

to spend it with cooked family. I know I won't have to feel overly

stressed preparing a full-cooked meal with my famiy and then have to

prepare my Raw meal that I want to be just as tantalizing(as I refuse

to eat there's)So, to keep myself from going nuts and feel like I am

having a treat I made a compromise (as I prefer to make my own. But,

a

yummy compromise. ) and ordered Chef Adam's meal.

I am just mentioning this here as I have stopped by Nature's Pantry

to

pick-up to go Raw items in their deli and I was truly amazed on how

yummy they were. They weren't overly oily (rich tasting) or salty.

I

know the items were rich and did have salt, but it wasn't

overwhelming. I eat 811rv 90% of the time, so I am pretty picky

about

my overt fats and salts, not enjoying them.

His food is very gourmet, but scrumptious and not heavy tasting.

Anyway, there's my plug. Have fun preparing for the holidays, and

lucky you who can spend it w/ Raw people. I'll be thinking of you.

Where is Nature's Pantry located?

Last year was my first Thanksgiving raw and I made a couple of the un-turkey

meals from Alissa Cohen's book and they were fabulous. We even made wraps out of

them with the cranberry sauce.

Nature's Pantry is in Bellevue, close to BelSquare shopping center

across from Nordstrom's. Their web site has their address, driving

direction, and phone number: http://www.naturespantry.com/

The home page also has an announcement on Adam's November 7th " Latin

Theme " dinner. He also has started an announcement/contact mailing

list for those who want to be kept up-to-date on his dinners and

other upcoming offers at NP, so those of you who are interested could

call and leave your email address. I was there a couple of days ago

and he said he was going to start offering veggie wraps - he didn't

mention what kind of greens he would be using for the wraps.

I also have told him about this list and the Raw Washington site/

newsletter where he could post announcements. (I sent the urls to

the owner of NP and she said she passed them along to him.)
