" I haven't read the article yet, but my take on this is we must let go of our addictions and go outside our " boxes " . When hungry, we may usually grab for food to satisfy our hunger. Fasting requires we let go of our normal reaction of feeding ourselves. Once we go beyond the initial hunger we can find a peaceful area without cravings and hunger (maybe a little mild hunger). When " true hunger " returns, then it is time to end the fast. It is my belief that there is no set time. The body knows the time it should fast. The trick is listening.
