Guest guest Posted October 13, 2007 Report Share Posted October 13, 2007 Carol Alt, the woman who wrote " Eating In The Raw " and " The Raw 50 " , is on the cover of Life Extension magazine's November 2007 issue. The cover story, entitled " Carol Alt - The Raw Revolution " describes her journey from a 34 year old on the SAD diet and who was overweight and undernourished, to someone who transformed herself into a beautiful model of abundant health after going raw. Alt explains the four things that happens to food when its cooked, and the importance of enzymes in our food. I've been a r of this magazine for about 8 years and I've never read anything about the raw diet in any of its pages. On rare occasions do they even mention the benefits of a vegetarian diet. So it's good to see more articles and discussion about the raw diet in increasingly more mainstream sources. Alt does talk about supplements and says that " even raw foods today may not have everything we need. " That of course is debatable among the raw community. I'll leave it at that.
