Guest guest
Thanks, everyone who ordered fruit, for being so conscientious about either picking up or making other arrangements. I ended up with more than I can eat of my favorites so I'd like to offer some of them for sale. Following is the list. a.. Red plums (round and meaty, with light colored flesh, very flavorful and sweet), $1.50/lb b.. Black Friar plums (also round, flavorful and sweet but juicier), $1.50/lb c.. Duarte plums (oblong, juicy, dark red flesh), $1.50/lb d.. Diamond Princess Peaches (the same variety as last year, very juicy), $1.50/lb e.. Orange Honeydew melons (very sweet but would be even better if ripened a few days), $.70/lb The plums have not been refrigerated since being picked, which means the skins are very tender (unlike the plums you buy in the store). The Black Friars were just picked on Sunday morning. Let all the plums get very soft before eating, btw. The peaches are ripe and ready to be eaten. Melons have not been refrigerated. Please call or email if you're interested. I'll be home this evening after 7 for pick up, or tomorrow morning till 10. Thanks! Guest guest
If anyone is going over to pick up fruit from Seattle, I'm having a hard time making it to Nora's this week. I'd be willing to give you the gas money to go pick up my fruit and nuts and reimburse you when I meet you back in Seattle. Please call me if you are going sometime between today and tomorrow. Thank you. Guest guest
Maggie, Just so there's no confusion, I don't have the almonds yet. They are still on the trees! Nora
