Guest guest
Hi All, I just got back from E. Wash. and wanted to give you some more info about the fruit I'll have next weekend. Everything looks and tastes even better than it did last year! In addition to the fruits I mentioned in my first email, they also have red " Duarte " plums. These are juicy, rich and sweet with speckled red skin and maroon flesh. There is more info at this link: http://www.grandpasorchard.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/trees.plantDetail/plant_id/4\ 8/index.htm. Like other plums, they should be allowed to fully ripen until they're super soft, like water balloons. $1.50/lb. They also have 10-12 different varieties of peppers, from mild to very hot (no sweet ones), $2.00/lb. Watermelons looked to be at least 15 pounds and I'll pick out the biggest ones but I can't guarantee they'll be 20+ pounders like last year. Still $5 each. If you want to change or add to your order, please let me know by Friday, August 31. I haven't had time to respond to individual emails, but later in the week I'll post a list of people I've gotten orders from so everyone can be sure I got theirs. Thank you! Guest guest
Anaheim peppers? I'd take 2#. Do I need to specify on the plums? I ordered 5#, but you can mix and match. I'll take whatever you deem the best. What is the rumor I hear that the almond guy might be backing out? Shari
