If the cooking of food materials causes more denaturing of the food molecules

than pasteurization does, and according to the study below pasteurization of

food causes chronic disease problems, then doesn't this study even more strongly

support the position that cooked food causes health problems?

I haven't read the study, so I can't say for sure exactly what it says, but just

taking the top level general statement that pasteurization causes health

problems seems to provide some proof of the validity of raw food diets for the

people who say there isn't any scientific proof.

Did I miss something here? Has somebody on this list read the complete article

about the study? Normally I'd read something like this but I just can't deal

with it this week, and didn't want to let this question fall through the cracks.

May your day be filled with clarity, grace, progress, and warm laughter,

Roger

Just FYI, it's MUCH easier at times to find articles by the first author

listed. In this case, Helen Vlassaca is the last. Here is the full list of

authors:

Jaime Uribarri, Weijing Cai, Melpomeni Peppa, Susan Goodman, Luigi Ferrucci,

Gary Striker, and Helen Vlassara

And here is a link to the abstract:

Twll David Phippen to check out the April 2007 issue of The Journal of

Gerontology and see what Dr. Helen Vlassara's study says about pasteurized

foods causing chronic diseases and aging.

You have missed nothing. And we haven't even begun speaking about

acrylamides and acrolein.
