Guest guest
Hi All, While in Eastern Washington picking cherries last weekend I scouted the trees I'll be gleaning from later in the season and am pleased to report it looks like it's going to be a great year for apricots. The trees are mostly untended and many are unwatered, which means the roots have to grow deep to find their own water and the fruit is more flavorful (nutrient-rich). Obviously they are not certified organic but they are not sprayed. I expect these to be much better than the ones I brought back from California. They were spectacular last year. This is just a heads up; I will post when I'm ready to take orders -- maybe mid to late July. Smiles, Nora
Guest guest
Nora, Yes those of us in the eastern part of the state are starting to enjoy the Goldstrike apricots and some apriums. It looks as though to be a big harvest. For those wanting to spend a day with the family while picking fruit, try this website. www.pickyourown.org you search through the Washington data base Enjoy Bob Choose the right car based on your needs. Guest guest
I went out to dinner last week and had a wonderful dessert - brie cheese w/ slivered dried apricots soaked in honey served w/ toasted baguette slices, it was awesome. I really loved the apricots and plan on trying them that way myself. To cure jealousy is to see it for what it is, a dissatisfaction with self. I had issues after eating a whole, large yellow crookneck squash last summer. It was soooo good, though! Audrey S.
