Guest guest
Good evening! May is Bike-to-Work month and this is Bike-to Work Week. For anyone interested in participating, Friday May 18th is Bike-to-Work day! There will be “commute stations” set up around the area with free treats for bike commuters. For longer commutes, trains and buses have options for taking bikes. Bike-to-work day can help reduce traffic congestion, and reduce fuel consumption and pollution, as well as increase exercise! For those not able or interested in biking to work, Bike-to-Work day is a great day to ride mass transit. That will free up the roads for the cyclists! Less vehicles means less pollution, which means cleaner fruits and veggies! Let's show the community that raw foodists are excellent cyclists! Guest guest
[This 5/15/07 email was delayed by " spam " control] Jeff, Thanks for that post. The Bike Alliance of Washington has a full-time bike commuting consultant (a friend and former riding partner, and excellent all-around guy) Kent Peterson. If you want to bike anywhere but don't know how to do it safely talk to Kent. http://www.bicyclealliance.org/commute/index.html I gave up driving shortly after I became raw (6 years ago) when I recognized the toxins we take in from being in and around motor vehicles. Anyone who cares enough about their health to go raw should definitely look into the additional health and wellness benefits of going car-free as well. I now telecommute from my home in WV (for a Redmond company as it turns out) and am running programs here to get other people out on bikes and educate drivers to share the road safely. Naturally I recommend plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables for fuel. (topical content) Nick Hein Morgantown, WV
