Guest guest
Hi All, My experiment for the week is raw fava beans, just a few in a salad. Lovely, I think, and then find some reference about them having chemicals that cause hemolytic anemia. ?? Comments?
Guest guest
In general, beans are not as digestible. I don't know the specifics on fava, but stay away from kidney beans. Mung beans (sprouted) and lentils are probably some of the more common ones eaten raw. Some use garbanzo beans (chick peas). I rarely eat beans myself, unless they show up in a hummus or other mixed dish. I do eat string beans a few times a year, but not too often.
