Guest guest
Rawschool [Rawschool ] On Behalf Of Lois Cole Monday, June 20, 2005 3:13 PM Re: [Rawschool] Hallelujah Acres ?? (WAS:Hep C/HIV/AIDS - Again.......) snip> The barley powder is used for convience sake. Everyone has their own opinions, and that is great. So, if you and other NH don't believe in supplimenting ones diet with something as simple as a barley powder, or carrot juice, well, that is your choice. And since I went 100% raw Feb.1st, 2005, I find I eat more and more simple, without all the suppliments. But, if a person is sick with terminal cancer, why not take the barley powder or wheat grass juice. Every little bit helps. My opinion of course. In Health, Lois _____ First Lois, thanks for your kind and thoughtful reply. Just for clarity to everyone, I do not consider myself a " natural hygienist, " for reasons I intend to make abundantly clear in a future publication. I do often find myself in considerable alignment with the philosophy and/or teachings of certain PARTICULAR NH practitioners, but I dislike the label and I perceive myself in a quite different way. More in July (hopefully). Regarding the excerpt above from your message, convenience is typically the antithesis of health, and that is true here. The HA program has slipped and slid, starting out (almost) all raw with barley greens, now partially cooked and " mostly raw " with barley greens, they have, in my opinion, truly lost their way in the interest of revenue generation. As for your last comment, " why not take the barley powder or wheat grass juice? " , my reason is quite clear: because it is not the shortest, most reliable path to health. Of all the cases you might mention, someone facing a " terminal " situation has not one moment to waste regaining his/her health. Other approaches work better, faster, and more consistently. That is why. Of course, it helps if you shift the definition of health from " absence of symptoms " to " abundant, radiant energy and vitality. " Then there is no contest at all. Guest guest
Kristen Tuesday, June 21, 2005 9:12 PM [Raw Food] Re: Hallelujah Acres ?? Barley greens etc. I would like to know which approaches you believe work better, faster and more consistently! I'm very curious! Thank you! Kristen _____ Hi Kristen, thanks for asking. May I assume you are referring to the cancer example from earlier in this thread?? My short answer is that a combination of fresh, whole ripe, raw, organic or better fruits (with an emphasis on sweet fruits) and greens works better and faster IN GENERAL. This combination of foods oxygenates and hydrates the entire organism, alkalizes the entire system, and fills the organism with a significant influx of fuel and all manner of nutrients. At the same time, this combination of foods minimizes the digestive load on the body in terms of energy, hydration withdrawal, and all other requirements. This, in turn, creates a relative state of rest and allows us to move someone safely and quickly (in comparison with other approaches of which I am aware) through the stages of withdrawing meds, then, if the person is willing, into fasting. In this state of deep rest, the deepest cleansing and healing typically occurs. (There are some uncommon exceptions, but not enough time to go into all that here, and probably not relevant anyway.) Hope this is helpful! Elchanan -- ------------------------ [ SECURITY NOTICE ] ------------------------ rawfood .
