A question-getting cholestrol & " cancer " out of the system

Here's a question I came up with today. I've " heard " that when

someone stops eating animal products that the cholestrol in the blood

increases because it's coming off the walls of the artery and cleaning

out through the blood. If a person has cancer and they improve their

diet, etc. and then go for a test, is it possible that the

cancer " reading " could look worse because it's cleaning out of their

system?

Two separate issues.

Cholesterol, yes absolutely the cholesterol may rise for a bit before it

begins to fall. It depends upon when measurements are taken as well as other

factors. In fact, during a fast, one's blood levels of cholesterol/blood

lipids and other factors can shoot up quite high for a bit, as the body

accelerates the removal process.

Cancer is generally observed differently. The cancer cells are digested or

otherwise broken down into components. usable components are recycled, the

whole process is different. So IN GENERAL, it is unlikely that one would

observe a similar increase.
