Guest guest
I have heard a lot about the benefits of coconut oil, but wonder whehter it is advisable to include it in a primarily fruit diet (as advocated by many on this list)? Pros? Cons? regarding coconut oil? I'm not even sure how to use it . . . thanks & blessings, Leslie
Guest guest
Hi Leslie! Let's just say horrible...awful...bad.. it's 100% fat, not a whole food (fractionated), and not only is it 100% fat, it's almost all " saturated " (the worst kind) fat. 1 TBLS is 117 cal, which is 141% of my daily " allowed " saturated fat %, and almost 100% of my daily " allowed " total fat. don't do it! oils by themselves are not recommended. if you're needing some fat, a little bit of avocado, or 1/4 c. of fresh, raw nuts would be much better choices, imho. not sure what you're planning to do with this, or why you're asking/considering it... hope this helps. all the best, Bob rawfood , " chai_mama@j...
