Guest guest
Brenda, >I have a question about this. My husband has IBS. He tried everything that his doctor prescribed or suggested, but nothing worked. We came across Colonix--an intestinal cleansing kit. We did it for 2 weeks and felt wonderful!! He finished up the kits and then the pain came back, even though he continued taking a fiber mix (not by Colonix). He asked me to order more of the fiber part of the kit and has been taking it ever since and has not had any IBS pain. So, my question is.....if these cleanses/fibers really don't work, then why has his pain been relieved? Also, I know that when I was on the cleanse I eliminated some nasty stuff!! How is it that this can happen if these kits really don't work? I used to have IBS. The ultimate solution is a return to a natural diet -- raw. But in the meantime, psyllium husk powder dissolved in water can be very soothing to the intestinal lining. See if he'll be willing to give up all milk/dairy products for starters and all refined sugars, starches, and fried foods. Bob Avery
