Guest guest
PS Nora, please do note that I NEVER used he word infection (except perhaps in quoting from CDC). Nora also writes: I agree with the fasting part, it certainly makes sense that a person who has been ingesting drugs would need a longer fast to recover. However, in one sentence above it is recommended that the drugs stop immediately and then in the next it is implied that there is some danger in stopping the drugs, and requires discussion, presumably with a practitioner of some sort. Although admittedly there are a few other situations where it may be risky to stop drugs suddenly, to me it seems obvious in the case of the drugs given for Lyme Disease that there would be no exception to the recommendation that stopping them would be one of the primary steps one would take in getting well, in addition to dietary change, rest, fasting, etc. _____ It really does depend upon which drugs, drug combinations, etc. These are all toxic, indeed, but the body can develop dependencies, and in any event we wish to avoid shocking the system. While it is correct, IMHO, to state that we can stop MOST drugs instantly, to do so blindly can sometimes evoke a strong response from the system. So this caution is, in a sense, merely a step taken to minimize likelihood of severe cleansing symptoms that might inadvertently drive a person in another direction. We don't want to scare the bleep out of anyone, we find it much more constructive to seek slower but steady and progressive success. Better to take 6 weeks rather than 4 weeks to get 100% cleansing and healing, and thereby avoid 40 years of recurrent symptoms that may arise if the person runs. Also, we often prefer to get a person onto a high-oxygen, high-water, therefore high-fruit diet for a few days to a week before fasting. (Since most do not enter the door with this habit.) This allows the spirit to catch up with the flesh, so to speak, it gives us some time to teach, it points the body toward cleansing in a very gentle way. It also gives us a nice bit of lead time to wean, sort of a nice " side effect " :) These are entirely opinions, not " facts " in any manner whatsoever.
