Bob, Was wondering in your journey through raw... what things did you go through in regards to your problem with nephritis when you were you? what kinds of reoccuring anything in the form of detox? wondeirng what I might be need to be expecting.. I find sometimes my kidneys hurt (ache) a bit sometimes if I am in a more blended route during the day.could this be a sign? Also I am wondering (again) if anyone had had seizures in their life and what kinds of detox symptom would show a cleansing from something like this.. the ones I had had ..they said they could not figure out why I had them...I have not taken meds for them for two years now... I took myself off because i knew the med was not good for the liver.. _____ Hi all, Out of the worldview of modern " medical science, " we are taught that every " condition " has its own unique existence, as if it were some " thing out there " to be " cured " or " treated. " Perhaps it would interest you, Debbie, to know that your kidney and seizure problems are directly connected, even though the health folks, mainstream an alternative, and almost all RF teachers would miss this point. Assuming that the seizures are frontal lobe (the common pattern), then in almost every case, these seizures actually originate in the transverse colon. Once aware of this, most people who experience seizures or auras can actually begin to notice a sense of nausea or similar abdominal discomfort just prior to the seizure or aura. Perhaps you have heard of the " enteric nervous system, " sometimes also called the " abdominal brain " ? Our abdomen area is filled with its own complete nervous system, consisting of at least 20 million distinct nerves and regulated by a complete system of local ganglia. It is these ganglia, and NOT brain, that run most of our digestive, liver, kidney, and other visceral functions. It is physically impossible that the brain is responsible, there are simply not enough nerves and the distance, i.e., the response time, is too great. What actually happens is that the enteric nervous system signals the brain, which in turn signals our most ancient systemwide messaging system, our endocrine glands. These then secret various hormones, the basic message-carriers of all complex animal life. (I know, I know, you may be thinking that my comments conflict entirely with the brain-centered concept we have all been taught. You are correct, that is indeed what I am saying.) So if there is a problem in the digestive system, for instance, that problem may be MIRRORED up in the brain. I imagine just about all of us, during our SAD days, has experienced a holiday meal, or all-you-can-eat, or whatever, where we stuffed ourselves until we became comatose ( " fell asleep " is what we called it). In fact, our system simply ran out of resources -- energy and otherwise -- and could no longer deal with all the toxins we had eaten and keep us awake at the same time. This is basically how anesthesia works, too And I imagine most of us recall that the effects of such an experience might last for days. In such an instance, the enteric nervous system demands highest priority, the brain RESPONDS (not manages) by shutting down a host of other functions, and we walk around barely able to function until the cleanup is at least substantively completed. Many of us experience twitching, for example as we fall asleep, resulting from disruptions in our system's capacity to transmit proper nerve signals. Just imagine someone whose system is disrupted in this way, only more severely, and you have seizures. Looking from within this picture, it is easy (I hope) to begin to envision that the solution to most common seizures lies in our diet -- and in physical activity. Simply put into the digestive tube that which moves through quickly and easily, and avoid all else. What moves through quickly and easily? That which contains the most water. And of course, that would be fruits. Add a healthy dose of TENDER (as in EASY-TO-PROCESS) greens, and you're all set. Is there more to a complete, lasting solution? Yes, it goes beyond food, into physical activity and lung capacity -- which means oxygenation of your system and especially your brain -- and also into your psyche, your subconscious programming. More on those another time, if people express interest. How do the kidneys tie in? Well, consider the nature and purpose of kidneys. They are basically mechanical filters -- they remove physical particles from the blood and prepare those particles for elimination. What physical particles do we mean? Primarily, whatever we ate and absorbed that is foreign matter to the body. And where does such particulate originate? Primarily in our food (and water, if of poor quality). And what is the one and ONLY food group that even the World Health Organization considers truly nontoxic (containing no foreign matter)? Fruits! So once again, love and appreciate those symptoms, learn all you can from them, then when you are genuinely ready, let them go -- for they will, indeed, go when the circumstances are right Best to all, Elchanan -- ------------------------ [ SECURITY NOTICE ] ------------------------ rawfood , rawjourney , rawschool .
