Guest guest
Hi Everyone- My name is Joanne and I am very interested in starting a raw food lifestyle. I have read a great book from Carol Alt, " Eating in the Raw " and it insprired me greatly. My main focus and reason for eating raw is to feel better menatlly and physically for life. I am sick of dieting and I must admit I have been a victim to the dangerous diet pills. Though they did work for me (on top of dieting and dancing 10 hours a week), once I stopped using them, I gained everything back. I don't want to live this way. I want to live a healthy life without crazy diets, weight loss pills, ect. I have eaten raw for about five days now and I have to say I felt a little better. I say this as past tense because this past weekend, I did not eat raw. For breakfast on friday I had fruit and for lunch I had a salad and yogurt and nuts for a snack. Dinner time(only on the weekends) is where I notice I mess up(I had pizza). On saturday I helped my fiance` redo his parents backyard. For breakfast I had bran flakes and soy milk, for lunch a turkey sandwich on wheat bread and a banana. Dinner was pizza(again) with cheese fries.Sunday was bran flakes again with soy milk, no lunch and chicken with pasta with broccoli and tomatos. I do really well during the week, but come friday night I bomb until monday morning where I get back in the grove. I have noticed though I did not really " crave " the cheese fries as I normally do (they are my favorite!) so I am assuming it is because of how well I ate during the week. Anywho, sorry for the long post, I just wanted to share with everyone where I am right now. I am still a little confused and unsure what to eat and how but I am ready, willing and able to learn. If anyone could help me or share ome information with me, I would appriciate it. Thank you! -Joanne Please email me with any suggestions Sassysurfnic
