hi!

i read somewhere that we should generally eat two and

a half to six pounds of produce a day. i assume the

six pounds is for an athletic teen boy, and the 2 1/2

- 3 for me - 50, sedentary, short (5'1 " ), on

disability 15yrs...i can also see where more would be

required for some people. maybe just starting at 2

1/2 to six and see if you need more ornot...

one question, if we're weighing to figure out how much

we're eating, do we weigh with the peels, pits,

leaves, etc., or after we cleaned/peeled... this

probably sounds silly :-) but, like, i'm pretty sure

the watermelon rind is much heavier than all the fruit

inside...

also, can anyone recommend an inexpensive scale? thanks!

Hi Debbie!

recommend just starting out and eating until satiated....work on the

actual weights later...and yes, *generally* the more active you are,

the more calories you'll need.

weigh it afterwards...sources, like Nutridiary (www.nutridiary.com)

give you the choice of choosing a fruit, like mango, *minus* the

refuse.
