Graeme:

I have met a Natural Hygienist who had symtoms for 10 years before they went

away.

I have never heard any of the " NAMES " in RF or NH speak of eating meat or egg

yolks but I believe Weston Price's book describes smoked meat as raw and the

consumption of it by healthy native societies. I have met a number of RF'ers

and quasi NH'ers who eat raw meat, dehydrated meat or raw egg yolks for

vitamin B-12.

One gal I know was vegan for 18 or more years, RF for 5 years of that and

then thought she was getting B-12 defiency symtoms. She had reactions to B-12

suppliments so finally she found a source of quality Organically grown chicken

eggs and she takes one yolk every 2-3 days. She has only been doing this for

less then a year so too early to tell the long term effects.

Of course, many " see food " dieters eat raw egg yolks (sunny side up or over

easy). The risk of salmonella infection is about 3-5 % per egg yolk according

to some sources.
