Since I'm doing Frederic's 5-Day " Cleanse, " I'm not currently able to eat the dates. However, I have just two more days to go! Whoohoo! The time that I tried blending the bananas and celery, I don't think I did it correctly. [Note to Elchanan: I know that smoothies are not the optimum method of eating my food; however, if I'm going to increase my banana intake, this seems to be the easiest for right now. [grin!]] Thanks! Annette (Washington State) _____ Grin back atcha! I believe Bob's recipe comes from me originally, or at least a variant. I use dates in mine. Start with one stalk of celery per banana and a few dates, then play with the ratios until you like it best. There is no magical recipe for this smoothie. (Oh, of course you'll need water, again, enough to create a consistency you like.) I tend to let the Vita-Mix run a bit on this one, perhaps 30 seconds, so that the celery is really creamy smooth. So I often add an ice cube or two, just to offset the slight heating effect of the extra running time. Again, there is no magic formula, just play with it until it becomes you -- because it will!!! :) Elchanan -- ------------------------ [ SECURITY NOTICE ] ------------------------ rawfood .
