Guest guest
Hello all.. I recently got a Brix refractometer to measure sugar and " quality " of my fruits. Basically, you put a drop on the instrument, and then read the result on a scale. " org " in the list below indicates organic. others were not... my 1st Brix readings: Strawberries Roadside SC/GA -- 5.0 <poor Driscoll Publix reg 6.0 poor Driscoll Publix org 9.6 almost average Banana Chiquita Publix org 10 average Tomato Heirloom Publix org 2.5 <poor I'd already been warned by Bob Avery not to be " shocked " by the likely low results. The Heirloom tomotoes were by far the most disappointing. Back to the hunt. all the best, Bob
