Guest guest
Hello everyone! My name is Brenda. I'm a 34 y.o. homeschooling mom to 4 children, ages 14, 6, 4 and almost 2. We live in NE PA. Hubby is Shawn, 34. I've been reading the posts and have a few questions. I've just gotten interested in raw foods within the past 2 weeks. I'm on the 5-day cleanse by Frederic Patenaude. Now for the questions: 1. I hate avocado. Is there something that I can use in place of it in recipes? 2. I've always been a 'headache-person' and get a migraine once a month. Is it okay to take Excedrin for these or would that just be defeating the purpose of going raw? (Keep in mind that I'm home with 4 children--3 of them being small and needing me for most things. It's not easy for me to just lie down for a while when these headaches come.) I'm finding that I'm already getting more headaches since starting this cleanse and am wondering if I'm already going through a bit of detox??? 3. I'm a severe Hershey's chocoholic. Is there something natural and healthy that I can use to replace chocolate when those cravings come? 4. I've been having smoothies for breakfast and lunch during this fast and salads for dinner, but I'm starting to get a bit sick of these things. I woke up this morning and almost quit this raw commitment, but my better judgement told me that this was the way to go. Any suggestions or recipes for other things to eat? I know that there are tons out there, but I don't have much time to surf the net for recipes and since I'm new to this...I really need other ideas. Thanks for the help!! Have a blessed day!
