Here's more information on the diet: - The fruits that are allowed are raw, fresh fruits and vegetables — nothing else. - For 5 days, we will not eat any fat, so no avocados, nuts, seeds, oils, etc. - We will not use any condiments as well, just raw fruits and vegetables, eaten straight or blended in smoothies, soups, etc. - No dried fruits and dates as well. Those who read my book The Raw Secrets will have a clearer idea of how to do this diet. Just remember to avoid fats and condiments as well during the cleanse. A good idea would be to have the following during the day: BREAKFAST: Fruit, or freshly-squeezed orange juice, or a fruit smoothie. LUNCH: A big fruit smoothie (bananas for example), or a big green smoothie, or simply fresh fruit (as much as desired) DINNER: Fruit as desired, followed by a raw soup, or a tomato-lettuce salad. Or simply a big smoothie. It's important to eat enough fruit so that you're not hungry all the time. As for physical activity, the idea is to do 30 minutes per day, at least. What counts? Anything: jogging, jumping on a trampoline, swimming, yoga, etc. But try to do something that will challenge you a bit. If you do yoga, try to do a longer routine. If you run, try to push yourself a little more. At least do something, even if it's just walking, that will make you sweat a little and, if possible, get some fresh air. You should shop today and tomorrow so that you have plenty of fruits and vegetables. Good choices at this time of the year are: bananas, mangoes, oranges, lettuce, sprouts, cherries, etc. There's not that much variety at this time of the year, but plenty for our purposes. If you'd like to read my article on getting back on track, it will probably help you: http://www.fredericpatenaude.com/backontrack.html Plan right now to change any commitment you may have for next week that will not be in your best interest for this cleanse. If you were supposed to go to a wine and cheese tasting, it might be a good idea to cancel it. Also, this weekend shouldn't be an occasion to binge before the cleanse. You'll have a much easier time if you don't. I personally plan to have a good time next week. Get everything you need, and I'll see you on Monday!
