below) or the intentional international peace community Auroville?

I am Lalit, an Architect-Urban Planner from Auroville, South India. Auroville

is an Intentional and International Township and is one of the most

comprehensive and integrated experiments of collective living in the world. I

am sure, as you are also part of this movement, you must have heard of

Auroville.

I am in Seattle at the moment. I have been invited at UW - Bothell as a guest

speaker to share about Auroville's unique vision and truly sustainable and

innovative practices to a wider audience in a 3 day International conference

here.

 

UNESCO has supported Auroville 4 times in its endorsements citing it a

pioneer

role model of collective harmonious living as well as a ray of hope for

entire

Humanity. I trust that a good look at its website would help you understand

its deeper purpose, its activities and its achievements.

 

I am on my way to San Francisco to give talks on Auroville at California

Institute of Integral Studies, CIIS, as well as at World Envt. Day events

(UNEP).

 

I was wondering if you know about Auroville or if you people would be willing

to host a talk on Auroville. This is sort of possible as I have some 2-3

relatively free days and I can offer this talk which can give you the

overview

of Auroville as well as in-depth functional aspects of our community.

 

Basically, in my this visit, I have been invited as Guest Speaker by Univ of

Washington - Bothell and also gave talk on Auroville at few other places like

Univ Southern California, USC, LA

LA Ecovillege, LA

Arizona State University

Arcosanti (Near Phoenix)

(3 diff places in Mexico)

 

There is a growing interest in people/institutions and faculty members about

the tremendous awareness and inspirational potential of Auroville and more

Connections/networking is happening so that some kind of regular

student/other

people short course/workshops could be arranged at Auroville or resource

person from Auroville could interact with interested people here in USA.

 

The dates which suit me are 27-28-29. As I am in touch with few other

communities/groups like this and hence, I am in the process of scheduling my

travel plans.

I just felt like exploring if you people would still like to host it in

someway! Just a try and offering of talk on Auroville from myside!

I've not heard of that specific community or of him.

 

I *did*, however, find it interesting that I've also recently begun

learning more about permaculture, intentional communities, etc..etc..
