Guest guest
Hi Denise! As you know, I have a strong NH bias. That said, I did a google search, typing in " natural hygiene hepatitis " to see what I might find. One of the first items was this link: http://www.arnoldsway.com/5-02-01.htm and from that, a short summary follows: [in summation, yes hepatitis is a serious disease. And to the doctor (whom I never had an argument with since I do not have that label behind my name, nor do I have 10 years of medical training, but I do have an opinion based on my research) the way to treat hepatitis successfully is two-fold. Remove that which causes it and give the body the necessary food material, which will rebuild the liver.] He also included a reference to Marti Fry's experience with hepatitis, as: [in researching hepatitis further, the natural hygienist Marti Fry who personally had infectious hepatitis wrote an article on just that: " How I overcame infectious hepatitis. " Her choice treatment was a fast, which means to abstain from all food except for distilled water. A fast acts as the body's ultimate healing system. As quoted, " During this period the body redirects its energies to the elimination of toxins and repairs the cell and tissue damage that has occurred largely as a result of toxic material in the body. Marti's total fast lasted 13 days, in addition to a week of recovery on a hygienic diet. Afterward she was not only back to her old self but also with more energy. I researched further discovering articles written to Dr. George Malkmus who printed their stories of success, which occurred once they changed their diet. Dr. George Malkmus of Hallelujah Acres teaches health from a biblical perspective. " The original diet of raw fruit and vegetables handed down to mankind by God in Genesis 1:29 as the perfect means of nourishing and sustaining our bodies in abundant health without all the processed foods and drugs of this world. " ] > Being a person who IS living w/ a virus in my blood that I know is damaging > my liver (it's moderately inflamed and scarred from Hepatitis C), I'm very > interested in this conversation : ) As I remember it, inflammation is the 4th of 7 stages of disease, following enervation, toxemia, and irritation. anything that ends in an " itis " refers to an inflammation, and what preceeded it refers to the body location exhibiting the symptoms. I've never had hepatitis; I have had nephritis (inflammation of the kidneys, for which I was hospitalized when I was ~8 years old..I've had a couple of " flareups " - excessive albumin in the urine, over the years. None since I've been raw. I've been " monitoring " my Irises (sounds like a flower bed, doesn't it?), and they're beginning to show some signs of " healing " ....we'll see... I still can't quite wrap my brain around > the idea that if your body IS suffering from something that you've contracted > while you were not in optimal health which made you suseptible...that you > would refuse to acknowledge that some chinese medicine and other herbal remedies > might be very helpful in assisting your body HEAL? it might; don't know. I prefer to concentrate upon supplying the body with optimal nutrition, and working many of the other 30+ factors for optimum health (there was a previous post here about them..think it came from Bill...) - if needed, I can find them again. I know they start off with Air, Water and Sunshine. > > > Would Natural Hygienists here deny that I have hcv? They probably would neither confirm nor deny that " diagnosis " ; that name --- is it true that you have an inflammation? probably...is it true that where is manifesting itself, showing itself, letting you know that it's in a state of " un-ease " , is the liver? ok... Would you say I am in > denial and am only creating it with my 'thinking' and previous bad eating > habits???? no, not creating...created it through " previous bad eating habits " - possibly...and bad eating habits are not the only Natural Hygiene Rule that we can violate. Raw Food is the focus of this list, and I constantly need to remind myself whilst I'm here, that Food is only one of 30+ elements of Health. Many other things may be contributing to the body's " un-ease " . I personally like the word " un-ease " , or at least " dis-ease " vs. disease, which has such a large societal, emotional hook. Oh, I wish I could make it go away...just with my thoughts Positive emotional state will assist... > > I am on the raw path now, and do hope that it will help my body heal, I firmly believe that Health can only be created by Healthy Living. > but...well, I'm just very interested in hearing more about how some don't believe > it's real oh....I have no problem believing that your body is expressing some " un-ease " - with whatever " diagnosis " it may have been labeled with. and that when your body is suffering from something like this, herbs > don't support healing??? I've already expressed my opinion of most herbs in the condiments post. No need to rehash that here... > > Come on and stretch my brain this morning " For the successful care of the sick, therefore, it is not sufficient to confine our attention to the organ or part affected we must care for the whole organism " Hope this provides some support; I suggest typing in the search: there are lots of others references. My bias is to stay in the " Natural Hygiene " realm...and if you find any by H.M. Shelton, I'd take them almost as " gospel " . and here's another, better, link to NH info: http://inhs.ms11.net/articles/classics1.html called INHS classics... (found this one by refining my Google search, and adding the word Shelton to my search..took me here...) all the best, (more in a minute...)
