Guest guest
Denise> YES, you're right, it's just hard to see someone you care about slowly killing themselves I will try to put things in the perspective you shared...it is true...you can only help the willing ...those who are open to the information. I saw the same 'problem' when I used to try to explain the virtues of unschooling to people. So I just need to think of sharing info about 'true nutrition/raw food' the same way I've learned to think of sharing info about 'true learning' Now I can sort of sense who is open and truly interested vs those who are unable/unwilling to *see* any other way than the one they've always known....and they are perfectly happy with that even those it's not working well for them. Thanks for the gentle reminder... xoxo, denise _____ You are welcome, it is equally a reminder to myself. Often, I find that those who seem to need information most are nevertheless quite unreceptive. I have found, for example, that quite a few people would rather die -- literally -- than risk conflict with family members over their own health care. Doug Graham teaches that we would all give anything, however valuable, for our next breath. This seems utterly obvious, yet I repeatedly encounter those who seem to respond differently. Mark Twain once mused that " one of the damndest things in life is that everybody has has reasons " (approximate quote) Apparently he was quite correct! xoxo back to you, Elchanan -- ---------------------[ Ciphire Signature ]---------------------- vlinfo signed email body (1189 characters) on 24 May 2005 at 05:49:36 UTC rawfood ------------------------------- : Ciphire has secured this email against identity theft. : Free download at www.ciphire.com. I just read your response and was really interested in what you wrote about 'unschooling'... I've never heard about that before and I know it's way off topic but would you mind telling me more about what it is? It sounds so interesting! If you have the time that is, I know this is a raw food forum and not a any topic you want forum. : ) I'd really appreciate it.
