Hi Denise!

lol! *I*, ma cherie, am nowhere near qualified to talk about

the " best " anything! lol! that said, I do have a couple of

recommendations, however: (and, if Elchanan pokes his head in, he

may have more...)

here are a few I've been recommending/sharing lately:

A. The Health Formula, by T.C. Fry orig. published by Health

Excellence Systems, 1108 Regal Row Manchaca, Texas 78652-0609.

ISBN # 1-55830-009-0

(very quick aside on finding books - here's my procedure - 1. check

the library card catalog online - if they have it, great..put it on

reserve. If it's in, call and have them pull it, and hold it for me;

2. If library doesn't have it, then I go straight to Amazon.com, and

search for it... (just did that for this one, and unfortunately,

neither way worked..drat...)

B. How to Keep you Body Pure - published by LIfe Science Institute,

with Herbert M. Shelton, T.C. Fry, George S. Weger, M.D. and others

listed as authors...ISBN # 1-555830-006-6

C. a combo book(let) entitled Toxemia Explained, by John H. Tilden,

M.D. and The True Healing Art, by Russell Thacker Trall, M.D., ISBN

1-55830-007-4.

D. Superior Nutrition, Eat Better, Live Longer by Herbert M. Shelton

(from what I can tell, HM Shelton is one of the best of the " oldies " -

a lot of T.C. Fry's work is based on Shelton's. Shelton's seems

more empirical, actual clinical, and Fry's seems more educational.

ISBN # 0-9606948-1-1. published by Willow Publishing, Inc. San

Antonio, Texas ... If that fails, almost anything else by HM

Shelton...lots are still in print, and I find them all excellent.

E. On Nutrition and Physical Performance: A Handbook for Athletes

and Fitness Enthusiasts, Dr. Douglas Graham www.foodnsport.com

ISBN # 1-893831-03-5

with these, it doesn't matter where you start, they're all on a

similar path. and they're what I've been sharing with my dw, and

she's started reading some of them...and her intake of raw is

increasing, and intake of cooked is decreasing....wahoo!

There have also been some posts with other suggested reading; some

free stuff on the web..if I come across it again, I'll repost...or

maybe Elchanan will.

Hope this helps..

all the best,

Bob
