Guest guest
I’m not quite convinced that it is the shampoo causing the hair loss. My hair stopped falling out when I started eating raw – long before I stopped using shampoo. Unfortunately because my hair is short and super-fine it needs the help of hair spray and my ‘goop’ to look decent for my M-F job. Weekends I tend to skip all of that junk though. Almost immediately after discontinuing the shampoo, I noticed a marked decrease in the amount of hair left in my sink, and in my brush. There are now days where no fallen hair appears at all in the sink, with only a few left in the brush. This is amazing! I can't say that I am noticing any regrowth, but my hair looks more full without looking dry and fluffy (the shampoo effect :-) ). It is softer, and something of a natural wave seems to be returning. I still use a small amount of hairspray, because my hair has become so fine, and being short, it won't stay in place. So, I'm looking for an alternative to that now. But I am a happy camper, for sure, and it's one less item on my shopping list now. Hello everyone, I wanted to come in on this too - I have continued simply using water on my hair and it is fine - great condition and easy to manage - I too am still using a little hair spray - cant seem to manage without that either unfortunately. We are also continuing with raw foods and enjoying it very much - the odd craving comes and most times it's and Indian meal we want but most of the time we are both raw and feeling good on it - although today I awoke with pain in my sciatic nerve which I havent had since I was pregnant many, many years ago. Question ; Do pain killers suppress the healing of something like sciatic pain - I haven't taken anything but the pain is quite severe - I could do with some feedback on this? Guest guest
Hi, Donna, Yes, it is hard to tell when all we have is anecdotal evidence; but the dramatic decrease in hair loss almost immediately following the change to not using shampoo is enough to convince me that at least, for me, I can do without. And now, especially since I have seen that I really don't need the shampoo anyway for my hair to be clean, I don't see any reason to use it at all. Cause and effect can be difficult to determine, but need is a lot easier to ascertain! :-) Peace, Valerie Donna Chagnon <donnachagnon wrote: I’m not quite convinced that it is the shampoo causing the hair loss.
