I hear this same kind of philosophy often and read it too on this list and

in books. I have difficulty understanding what it means. How does not

eating animals or products they produce show a respect for their lives?

 

Not eating animals is what I choose to do but not because I think it shows a

respect for their lives. In a way, I think it shows just the opposite.

Hi Micki..

 

for me, it shows a respect for them in that I meet my needs, *without*

denying them the ability to meet theirs; in other words, we both

live! - the ultimate win/win..vs. a win/lose scenario whereby I live

and they die.
