Guest guest
Kay: I just remembered that many men and women I know from dance have found a big improvement by social dancing. Some have spouses who are or were institutionalized or deceased. After the initial adjustment to getting out and giving themselves permission to have " fun " have found taking group and private dance lessons gives them a much improved outlook on life. Doesn;t matter if it is ballroom, swing, salsa / merengue, country, folk, contra, universal peace or irish dancing. Wishing you a safe and uphill journey (anyone can slide downhill LOL) Bill

One can feel so 'guilty' when one is dragging themselves around, creating negative thoughts, acting less than optimal etc.. The feedback has encouraged me SO very much. I knew somehow that CONNECTION was needed to help me find acceptance through this difficult time. Perhaps if I help myself to " slow down " in way of thinking, just long enough to see this as a longer " project " than I would desire. Such as is my impatience - therefore missing some point to life! The affirmations, I know are useful. Each night i listen to a c.d with auto suggestion, like.. " imagine what it would feel like if you knew you couldn't fail " Whilst people sometimes say that depression is a " chemical imbalance " Lack of PEA etc.. I notice that pleasure switches on and off as if by will. I went to visit my brother & wife on saturday night; I realise that fear, depression, despair switch off as soon as I enter their home. A lovely home it is mind you -I do struggle without a garden/contact with nature. Andy is the most FUN person in my life - always has been. He took me down to his garage where he recently set up his latest " fun " scenario - A lazer shooting range! Smashing plates and c.ds with a lazer gun brought me great satisfaction I can tell you! When I remarked, jokingly " what a great waste of time! " Andy replied " Waste? - this isnt a waste of time - it is FUN! " All a matter of perception then.. In the " race " for life I have almost missed the scenary en route! Spoke to my mum on the phone - said she had a visulization of me: A lighthouse, alone amidst the jagged rocks and stormy waters; but with EVERY point and purpose to be there. I thought that was rather nice actually. Things are looking up a little today. Suggestions from other people's point of view help in making new choices when I feel limited by my own " stuckness " I know the enviroment and my living quarters are the biggest wound - BUT if I can make the inward changes necessary then oportunity to move will come about eh?... Thanks TEAM! great to be HERE! xx Love Kay
