Guest guest
Hi, Lynne, I would love to have some feedback on this as well. Over the years I have had horrendous pain connected with the sciatic nerve, and literally could not move without taking a serious pain killer (Flexeril). It got to the point that I could identify when things were about to " go, " and would take a " preventive " Flexeril, so to speak, and that would usually be enough to prevent going into full blown spasm. I've been doing more stretches, taking yoga and tai chi classes that help me keep things more flexible, and I have not had a spasm in a long time. But I have kept the Flexeril on hand, just in case. I know I should not take it at all, but so far I have not found any other way to ease the pain once the spasm hits. (By the way, just for info, I've averaged one Flexeril a year over the last five years, so it is definitely better than it used to be.) Peace, Valerie Lynne <niklyn wrote: today I awoke with pain in my sciatic nerve which I havent had since I was pregnant many, many years ago. Question ; Do pain killers suppress the healing of something like sciatic pain - I haven't taken anything but the pain is quite severe - I could do with some feedback on this?
