I have a small garden where I'm growing a few vegetables. I DO get a lot of pleasure eating the things I grow. And I also LOVE going into a farmer's market (or even a grocery store produce section) and see all the beautiful fruits and vegetables...and Y E S !!! They *DO* T A S T E absolutely delicious...and that gives me pleasure, making committing to a raw food diet a much easier idea for me I'm not just plodding along eating for fuel ONLY. But I do know that there are people out there who don't care for food except to keep their bodies going. I had an old bf like that and it always amazed me (being someone who, at that time, liked to explore different cuisines, try new recipes, eat meals prepared by wonderful area chefs)...he couldn't have cared less about *food* except where eating some was necessary We weren't together long <grin> I find the taste of r a w foods to be even more once I really pay attention to how it tastes, and how I feel after eating it. I see beauty all around me and automatically love to give ANY of my 5 senses a zing Taste is one of them, of course...I see no reason that choosing and appreciating delicious raw food shouldn't be a part of experiencing joy and pleasure in Life! But that's just me and how I L I V E ! xoxo, Denise
Guest guest
The problem I feel is that most people on SAD in America value taste over everything else, to the point where they don't care about the effect what they eat has on the body as long as it appeals to their tastebuds. And their tastebuds get perverted in the long run. The great thing about raw is that it tastes delicious and it's so good for you. swing Mail Stay connected, organized, and protected.
