Guest guest
I am not actually enquiring as to how to eat them ! But thanx anyway. I was wondering whether they are a " useful " (good) food to eat reguarly.. They are so more dense than other dates. I do like them, though! And Medjools are one of my favorites... > > Valerie >
Guest guest
They are a good source of carb calories; I know I have seen them recommended if folks are having a hard time getting enough calories in their diets, along with bananas. For example, if I eat a regular size, fresh Medjool, I call it 16 grams, or the equivalent of 2 dates, and I call the jumbo fresh Medjools (almost a meal in themselves! well, ok...not quite...but alomst! lol!) the equivalent of 3-4 dates... I've got it on my list of things to do, to actually find a good analytical scale (unless someone else has easy access to one), and can tell us what these puppies really weigh, minus the pits of course. all the best, Bob
