I prefer them as I'm trying to cut down on the calories, as well as avoid sugars, which make my energy levels erratic (either high or low). It seems as if all the living food recipes ask for maple sugar, maple syrup, nectars and other forms of sugar. I'm all for using these natural ingredients, but is it a travesty to use artificial sweeteners when you're trying to eat healthy living foods?
