Shelly~

Thanks so much for sharing this information with the group.

I have been transitioning my 2 yr. old Keeshond to raw food & she has had

some problems with diarrhea . . . is this normal in the transition period?

She has had " Real Food for Dogs " (chicken), & also some raw ground beef,

veggies. She loves it all, but it seems to upset her digestion.

any suggestions?

We have not tried bones yet (still makes me nervous).

Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Leslie

(ps Do your dogs have less odor when raw?)

Hello Leslie & everyone - jumping in here , my dogs are completely raw and

have been for a little while - I have learned more about rawfeeding in the

rawfeeding group and also how their bodies " clean out " just as ours do - I

have learned here in this group - learning to trust their bodies - I always

saw diarrhoea as an illness - now I see it as the body of the individual

cleaning itself.

All if them at some stage had the runs (with 4 dogs this is not a joke!!

Yukky poo!) but it has passed - at some stages too the " wind " was BAD but

this too has passed I sat most gratefully now.

They are eating raw chicken legs at the moment - bones and all and love it -

even old 16 year old almost blind, not so many teeth little Benjy is doing

it and refused ground beef when I offered it to him yesterday in case he isn

t getting enough! No veggies now - just raw, meaty bones and organ meat from

time to time too.

They are well on it - their breath is much sweeter and the amount they " pass

has gone so small.

Love Lynne
