With all due respect - this isnt really what I was getting at Swing I'm not really relating to having a day off once a week as a 'fast' in the therapeutic sense; but more of a " Sabbath " day for the body. I am sure that for someone following a balanced raw food diet(OR other diet) without the up's and downs of emotional eating would benefit and be happy in their routine with a day off each week. I was thinking more along the lines of those who fast to " fix " something they have done " wrong " or feel uncomfortable with. This is really following on from points Elchanan was attempting to bring to light within myself. (I believe Valerie had been following our dialogue on this subject?..) Not that I tend to dip in and out of fasting - but that I often try to " fix " things! Flip! - we havent even heard back from Valerie yet! Apologies if we have taken off a bit here!!xx Kay

Gotcha. I agree that that's not too healthy if done frequently, bc then you're approaching eating disorder land. Much better to cleanse within the realm of overall healthy eating. swing

I have been camping with my husband since Friday, and just returned this afternoon, so I have not been near the computer for a couple of days....now just to catch up with everyone! Peace, Valerie korangeli <korangeli wrote: Flip! - we havent even heard back from Valerie yet!
