When I learned that refined sugar was the cause of my depression I was

really angry at both my physician and my meds manager because neither of

them ever asked me what I was eating before they prescribed the

anti-depressants; they just said, here's a pill. Then when I learned that

refined sugar was the culprit and asked my physician why she had never asked

me about that I was even more upset when she told me that she has the same

reaction to refined sugar. Ummm . . . helllllloooo! She told me that when

she first got out of med school she would ask her patients what they were

eating and suggest that they eat a healthier, more organic diet and her

patients would get very angry with her - so she stopped asking. She said

she would again incorporate that line of questioning into her practice. Has

she done it? I don't know.

Great point to share, Donna! I have heard this SO many times from all types

of practitioners. Before we blame them, we must realize that it is We, the

People, who have been resistant to hearing that we are destroying ourselves

with what we eat. (I dare not call it " food. " ) The moment one of us begins

to listen, information just seems to flood right in.
