I am several weeks into the raw diet and, after reading your post on

toxicity, etc., worry about the supplements I haven't yet discontinued.

 

In the past, I've fallen ill within days after missing even one round with

sore throat, cold, etc. Of course, my diet is much better now. I'm currently

taking C (2/day @ 500mg), calcium (1200mg/day), pau de arco (3

capsules/day), and acidophilus. Should I go cold turkey or wane myself off

of these? I really worry about not getting enough calcium in my diet. I've

finally gone cold turkey off my horrible addiction to a BC Powder/day (used

to boost myself before my workouts - had no idea how bad they were).

 

I have countless symptoms, the worst being blurry vision, dizziness, cloudy

head, and many other candida-type symptoms, including female issues. I've

been researching Rhodiola Rosea (golden root) and was thinking it would be

beneficial in dried root form. What are your (or anyone else's) thoughts on

that? My symptoms don't seem to be clearing up as of yet.

 

Finally, I have tested my acidity levels on several days as instructed on

the package, and my morning levels are extremely acidic (very bright yellow

- the most acidic there is), but then as I eat and check it several hours

later, they appear closer to normal.

 

Any ideas what's causing this, and what I need to do differently? Many

For me, the core issue underneath all your questions involves making a

choice between the following options before us.

 

- On one hand, we can choose to continue pursuing solutions using the

current, prevailing disease model. This model presumes a fractional approach

to all cause-and-effect relationships, wherein each symptom is considered in

isolation and given a " diagnosis, " " prognosis, " and " treatment. " ALL forms

of treatment with substances fall into this model in some way, no matter how

many times any practitioner may stamp the word " holistic " upon his/her

forehead, letterhead, masthead, or other head. The term " holism " is

well-defined in quantum physics, and it does not mean " Please buy my

product/service. "

 

- On the other hand, we can chart a new course, away from virtually all

mainstream definitions and understandings and toward Nature instead. Nature

knows how to heal a cut, science does not. Nature knows how to create and

monitor life; science does not. You get the idea.

 

For those genuinely willing to choose the latter of these two options, a

wonderful opportunity emerges. For the first time, we can stop trying so

hard, stop analyzing, and most of all stop placing our health and well-being

in the hands of others. We can reclaim our independence and reaffirm our

You say you have countless symptoms. Save your energy, stop counting!

 

You write of various herbs and supplements. ALL " medicinal " herbs and

supplements contain toxic materials, none is a healthy food for humans. When

you put something into your mouth and swallow it, you are not " taking " it,

you are eating it. Accept this point, the language " taking it " leads us

astray, gives us the false impression that we are " doing something about it "

rather than simply eating one more substance our body does not recognize and

treats as foreign matter. As I wrote in another post earlier today, you

cannot reduce the level of toxicity in your body by eating toxins.

 

Again: YOU CANNOT REDUCE THE LEVEL OF TOXICITY IN YOUR BODY BY EATING

TOXINS.

 

This is part of the Law of Nature, which we have no power to change, only to

learn and use.

 

Regarding your question about saliva pH, yes I can explain it. But I'll save

that for another day and offer another suggestion instead: cease all acts of

diagnosis and self-diagnosis, just let go of all such activity. Everything

you (or any of your vendors, such as doctors) ever diagnose will be, at

best, a symptom, which is nothing more than the body trying to fix itself.

Anytime you " treat " one of these symptoms, you are, first and foremost,

violently opposing and interfering with your own body's natural activity.

Since the only purpose of obtaining a diagnosis can only be to identify an

appropriate treatment for some symptom, then once you accept not treating

symptoms, you no longer have use for any diagnoses. Just let them go.

 

Instead, shift your entire focus toward creating health from the inside out.

Put into your body that which serves it well and that for which it is

designed, primarily fruits and greens. Stop putting into your body all other

substances.

 

CAVEAT: There are some prescription drugs from which one MUST wean, not just

discontinue. These must be taken into account one by one, not the subject of

this message.

 

Focus your time, energy, and attention on your feelings, physical activity,

sunshine, fresh air, quality water, friendships. Laugh. These are all

essential nutrients, but only in a health model, not in a disease model.
