[Raw Food] Re: on bananas (fractional thinking)

- Thanx Elchanon - Thats why I added the " or is it just because they

are yellow in colour? " :)

I am quite NEW to 'non-fractional-thinking' That's why I am interested in

this " mind programing " thing; Kinda gotta stop thinking about the knowledge

gained from the illusion of life and discover the answers for the first time

within. I have decided to tell my mind that bananas are 'just' a sunny food!

It is a blessing to have someone encouraging us this way - cause when you

walk out the door one's mind can become kinda " warped " - even when one has

the best intentions!

Hi Kay and all,

Yes, all of us were (apparently) educated to be fractional thinkers. And

this thinking is reinforced quite mindlessly, as a matter of course, at

every turn. It is indeed SO easy to turn on some PBS show, listen to them

discuss the potential miracles of stem-cell research or whatever, and begin

to slip gently into that way of thinking.

This is why I raise the flag of holism so frequently, to remind and

reinforce and give people every opportunity to chart a new course. In a

world of holistic thinking, we recognize and accept that cause-and-effect

relationships in and affecting our organism are far too numerous and

intricate for us ever to fully comprehend at a conscious level. We renew our

intention to study Nature, not to control her, but to live in harmony with

her.

At the same time, we recognize that new knowledge and understandings do not

replace old ones, they merely lead us to reperceive the older knowledge and

understandings. So fractional thinking is not " bad " or " wrong, " quite the

contrary. It's just that when fractional thinking becomes the dominant

thought paradigm, when there is no metaview of the whole, then we become

lost.

But...this new course takes us in a direction dramatically different from

that of the world around us, including our friends and families. So we do

best when we build upon what we already know of compassion, acceptance, and

self-love at the same time.

Best to all,

Elchanan
