Thanks again ever so much! > Vegigran ---- Hi Vegigran! quick thought re: exercise --- I've recently (like in the last month) begun using a rebounder/mini- trampouline - I use it for like 5 minutes at a time, the first minute is a warmup, and then 4 minutes of heart " in the aerobic range " . I'd finished reading a book on rebounding, entitled " Looking Good, Feeling Great " , by Karol Kuhn Truman. (bought used at Amazon, for like $5.00, paperback, ~166pp) I'd rate it about a 7-8; it's good, and a little dated...fun read, actually. And I recommend the exercise. More interestingly, and unfortunately I've lost the source, a Dr. had done a study on exercise and he claimed that five (5) four-minute sessions a day, with your heart up in the aerobic range, on a rebounder/mini-trampouline provided, paraphrasing " optimal cariovascular, respiratory, and cell/lymph efficient exercise " , or words to that effect, with ~85% less stress to the body's joints. My personal experience has been that it is definitely less stressful to the joints (my main cardio exercise is playing tennis - rebounding is " much " less stressful! lol!), and I find the mini-workout sessions effective. Obviously, I can't attest to the optimal efficiency, and my body does appreciate the exercise. Picking up on something I think I'd seen Elchanan mention was that the body would appreciate some exercise before meals, I now aim for that, with an early am rebound session, a mid-morning, one just before my midday meal, one mid-afternoon, and one prior to my light salad dinner. This routine is definitely making a difference in how I feel: it's a great energy boost/break. I even took my rebounder with me on my driving trip up to NC a couple of weeks ago, and I'd get it out at rest areas/gas stations and bounce up and down for the 5 minutes...I had an absolutely delightful experience at the Georgia visitor's center at the north end of Rt. 301, just before you enter SC. It was almost sunset, the azaleas were in bloom, and there was not a soul in the park area. So I took my rebounder over to a path in the middle of the blooming azealeas, and did my exercise. Really refreshing amidst my 13 hour drive. oopsss...not such a short post after all. Hope this gives you, and possibly others, some food for thought. And, when I'm feeling " out of gas " -- bananas/dates really help me! best regards, Bob
