[Raw Food] To Elcahanon on My Alkaline Life!

Elchanon - Yesterday was a totally amazing, alive, positive, energetic AND

intuitive day!! :) I must say that I was VERY sceptical when Laurie said I

wouldnt feel " sugared up " if I stopped the fat. I am a total convert - I

felt relaxed and calm yesterday evening; Sleep is getting better than it has

done in yonks!

I loved what you said about not " waiting " to make health before I move.

Because I am always telling myself I miss the point. However we are

touching on a BIG subject !

What I am saying IS I dont think anyone is going to be " there " for me if I

screw up again, so I feel I would like to be sure I am ok. Besides it isnt

very convienient to carry an enema bag wherever you go! (to put it bluntly)

Financially I do have the resources for a flight to the U.S and I think it

will be perfect to head out after I am done re-feeding my fast. In any event

September will be ideal because I can then get a six month stint in to avoid

the English winter - makes sense eh? See; we can only get visitors visas (90

days) unless we get married to an american! Some of my friends have done

this. But hey... its gotta be " real " ; You dont just marry " anyone "

I have three more questions for you; I will put them in a seperate message

for the benefit of the others. Heck! - How DO you keep up.. How can we be

sure you are not a computer Elchanon ?! :) :)

_____

Greetings again Kay.

Thanks for sharing all this, I am SO delighted that you are experiencing the

sweet-fruit approach so positively!!!

I've obviously abbreviated from your original post to keep the digest

somewhat manageable for others in the group. Actually, I intentionally

connected a couple of paragraphs, to give you an alternate view of your own

writing. As you can see, if you remove all the " story " about " what went

wrong, " you are left with a rather coherent discussion that says: I want to

go, I'm afraid to go, I COULD go ....

I am concerned about your use of enemas and fasting, I do not believe you

are on a course likely to lead you to health, in spite of all your " effort "

in that direction. Whenever I perceive that much effort, I immediately

perceive a likely problem, rather than wonderful commitment. I understand

that many of us experience challenges with physical cravings, emotional

eating (and lack of understanding as to how to distinguish between them),

negative feedback from family and friends, and so forth. But I am really

getting the impression that you are using enemas and fasting as your drugs

of choice, and I would be remiss not to express this to straightforwardly,

as I am here. You cannot flush nor fast your way to health, enemas are

downright self-destructive, and fasting is nothing more than a period of

deepened rest.

My sense, albeit from a great distance, is that the time has come for you to

lighten up on the food side of things and shift much of your focus, your

attention and your energy, toward exploring yourself, your identify,

emotions, etc. Your greatest challenges appear to lie in this direction, and

I have the strong impression, again for what it is worth from a great

distance, that nothing you ever do with food will bring you peace,

happiness, or health until you first handle these other areas.

In the meanwhile, here are a couple of suggestions regarding food, based

upon what you have expressed here and in other writings:

1. Continue with the sweet fruit orientation.

2. Start dropping those foods you are using as emotion-drugs. These appear,

again from a distance to include algae, seaweed, and possibly some herbs. I

really want you to come face to face with the real taste and texture of each

TRUE food, bananas, dates, figs, mangos, nectarines, peaches, plums, apples,

pears, grapes, tomatoes, berries, citrus.

3. I'd like to see you at least begin to eat some monomeals, perhaps once

each day, perhaps your first meal of the day would be easiest. I'd like to

see you eat one food until you are truly satiated from eating that food.

This sense of satiation will likely arise in your mouth, not in your belly.

4. Eat a " meal " of fruit about an hour before you have your salad in the

evening. For example, eat a mini-monomeal of oranges, until you are full on

oranges. Then wait an hour or so, then eat your salad. Again, when you are

eating that fruit, pay attention to your oral experience, focus not only on

the taste of the fruit, but on how the taste and texture both change in your

mouth as you continue eating that one fruit.

Couple of quick, final items:

1. Elchanan, not Elchanon

2. May I suggest that, in the future, you either write to me privately at

<VLinfo VLinfo or address everyone?

3. Regarding your last question, You can be sure I am not a computer because

not everything I write computes!!!! And there are other more subtle problems

with certain circuitry, as, er, well, umm, oh, never mind. :):)

4. What's a " yonk? "

Best,

Elchanan
