Guest guest
I have a general Nat'Hygienne overview on algae and there-like. I would however be interested in your personal view Elchanon? E3-LIVE liquid (frozen) algae I am not trying to justify this product in any way. I bought a supply in January because of the stress overload I had brought upon myself. I happen to like algae - can eat it right off the spoon! (I never eat dried products) I wonder if it is a " useful " food for those struggling with mineral deficiencies in less than " perfect " climates? A rawfooder friend of mine who virtually never eats fats or greens except lettuce, became seriously ill with B12 deficiency. She collapsed and had to have an injection. She is convinced that taking some algae helped her recover. She had been highly recomended to take a conventional vitamin supplement. The diet of course was not at fault - She never eats organic and during times of stress eats dried fruit and honey. She is consistantly raw however and has been for a number of years. Apparently some Indian tribes eat this algae as part of their diet so I see it as a naturally occuring food which has little tampering unless it is dried. I donot intend to continue with it after I finish this batch because I am using it, as I believe any supplement should be used - for a limited peroid. I understand that one should address proper diet rather than suplementing a less than adequate one. What is YOUR view - or do you have any old posts on THIS particular algae? While we are on the subject I also came across some fresh (frozen) BEE POLLEN, which like seeds/nuts is unchanged in texture by freezing. It is quite different to dried varieties and apparently from " happy " farming methods. Again it is not something I am considering continuing. I bought it with the intention of getting some nourishment into me during the month of january/Feb (This was before i re-comenced a 6 week binge- eating cycle) Again; I know that tribes in africa eat whole " honey ants " (because they are swollen with honey that they collect.) Once more it is a natural food which is eaten as substantial part of diet in some cultures. What is your view on THIS type of pollen?
