Guest guest
This is really on the reply to Elchanon I mentioned what I was considering eating later today (being as I am some hours ahead over here - ha!) So this morning it was a green juice and then a 6 banana smoothie with strawberries Later a pear. I went home for a 3 (large) banana smoothie+handful seedless grapes Later an apple I just made a great salad with a little more creative thought than usual (like perhaps avocados have become a habit? ..) A bowl of mixed lettuce leaves (more lettuce than usual - trying what you suggested) with some wild greens - mostly purslane and a couple of leaves of arugula (we call it rocket over here) Then I sliced in some cucumber and the rest of the strawberries I have. Partly to use them up and because I dont like to eat too many different fruits in one day. I also thought that having the sweetness would make the salad palatable without fat and it worked - yum! It would be absolutely lovely with a tablespoon of purreed seeds but anyway.. Would appreciate your coments and further suggestions..Ta! Well - I have had a right session on here today All the best everyone! x Kay
Guest guest
Hi Kay, Just something else to try . . . when I eat my " green salads " I take whatever kind of fruit I am using in the salad (for example, a mango) and puree it. I used the pureed portion of the mango as my salad dressing. If tomatoes are my " main fruit " in my salad then I will chop a tomato in the food processor, add a clove of garlic and maybe some " Italian seasoning " and that becomes my dressing for my salad. Be sure to give it time (about an hour) for the flavors in the dressing to blend if you are using more than one item. Donna
