Guest guest
Hi everyone, I recently wrote a post about my experience using lemon on my hair, and my computer screen went blank just as I finished it! So, here goes again... When I was younger, in high school, I was a bit bored and decided to go to beauty college after school and on Saturdays. As I was in college prep coursework in school, I had to promise my mother I would maintain my grades in order to stay in beauty school in the evenings, and I did. Still, starting at 16, I learned about hair. How to cut it, color it, style it, perm it, and wash and condition it. It was great fun for a teenager. And since then, I have taken " great " care of my hair - washing and conditioning daily, styling, and spraying it with " natural hold " spray. About a week ago, I decided to try not using any more shampoo, conditioner, and spray. I began using lemon every other day and just rinsing with water every other day. My hair looks and feels great. I've always had thick hair with lots of body and wave (since my last child was born, I have much more curl than just wave), but with the conditioners, my hair became overly soft and flatter to my head, which I countered with spray. Now, with lemon, my hair looks shiny, feels soft, and has it's natural fullness back - I don't spray now because it doesn't need to be sprayed to look full. When I first went raw a few years ago, my hair began to fall out and become thin. Also the texture began changing to coarse and unmanageable. I was concerned. I read it would return if I stayed raw and so, I decided to have faith it would. It did. The thinning and hair loss slowed down and then my hair began to thicken again. The texture change reversed also and my hair returned to " normal " . I have been on and off raw, but all these changes occurred during one very long all raw period for me. Lastly, a few days ago, I was sitting outside my daughter's dance class and another mother walked up to me and said, " Wow, I love your hair that way! " While I smiled and thanked her, there was nothing different than my new use of lemon. I have not cut it nor have I styled it differently, yet she acted like I had. Very cool.
